Episode 209: The Not-2015 Top Ten of 2015

Some of the discoveries you'll make on this episode of The Deucecast
Move Show
Every year, Mikey, Pinky & Dave talk about movies seen, and when January rolls around, it's time to talk about the movies seen that stood out.

The Top Ten of 2015 Films is an episode to come, but there are a lot of movies that were seen in 2015 that were actually NOT from 2015.  Thus... the NOT 2015 Top Ten of 2015!

The top ten favorite films of Mikey, Pinky & Dave that they watched last year that weren't actually from last year!

First, before that can kick off, a rousing round of Box Office Mojo, guessing the all time money making films both worldwide and adjusted for inflation.

And then, the countdown begins. Overviews of new found love for films that feature a TechnoRetro Dad host Shaz selection... a creepy show that Mikey fell for... a tie for Dave with films that star Brie Larson... a growing affection for Elizbeth Olsen... Pinky's favorite fun documentary... the saddest film that perhaps any of us have ever seen... Jennifer Aniston getting some love on some lists... and...

...the discovery of the real Magnolia fan in the room.

Plus, Mikey is known for his love of Dan Stevens.  Yet... there is another man muscling into Mikey's mancrush heart.

Episode 208: Comedy Confusion

Once again, the Deucecast Movie Show blackmails talks a great guest into coming on the show!

First, Dave, Mikey & Pinky welcome in Friend of the Show, Terence Malick Apologist and Film Historian Dr Earl to toss out some Birthday Movies, those films that came out this month five, ten, twenty years ago!  Because you needed to know how old Jean Claude Van Damme's Lionheart actually is, we are there for you.

Then, the guys talk all about Guilty Pleasure Comedies of the 2000s... unless you are Mikey, who did Legit Comedies of the 2000s... and unless you are Dr Earl, who did Comedies of the First 10 Years of the Century... and Pinky, who just showed up when he wanted to.

Black Dynamite... Pitch Perfect... Zoolander... Bench Warmers and more and more.

Then, in reverse order, a little Ryan Phillippe Game going on before the show ends!

Conan the Barbarian makes an appearance in Pretty in Pink, while Pinky gets assigned another classic.

Once again, its time for Valentine's Pink assignments!  Not only Dr Earl, but Friends of the Show Jennifer Kaufman and Remodeling Clay join it to give Pinky a few Valentine's movies to watch and review, including a lightheared romp from Dr Earl and a movie originally titled Monkey Heart.

Episode 207: Retro Reflicktions with Joe Tavano

Another year is in full swing for The Deucecast Movie Show, and there is so much to get to in the coming weeks... however... first up, the monthly ReFlicktions show! This is where Mikey, Pinky & Dave give a huge rundown of the movies seen in the last month.

And this time, the guys are joined by frequent guest, movie historian and Terrance Malick apologist The Good Dr Earl... and RetroZap founder Joe Tavano.

The Deucecast Movie Show has joined RetroZap Podcasting Network, and Joe is here not only to welcome the show (or perhaps the hosts have just invited themselves?) but to talk a little about RetroZap and how great it is.

Then the discussion moves into a new discussion on Star Wars The Force Awakens (no spoilers spoken!) the into main movie discussion, where Pinky sees the brilliance of Corey & Corey... the guys discuss the lost potential of The Ridiculous Six... the length of H8Ful Eight... what Mikey intends for bad, Dave finds to be great... cannibalism and Kurt Russell... Bryan Cranston's amazing performance in a pretty good movie... Christian Bale's amazing performance in a really good movie... and Tom Hardy's upstaging of Leo DiCaprio by giving an amazing performance in an amazing movie.

And, of course, Dr Earl and Maria Conchita Alonso have a moment.

Episode 206: All Time Top 100... 20 through 11

It's getting ever closer, that being the All Time Top 100 favorite movies of Mikey, Pinky & d$... but first, the ten movies that lead up to it.

James Cameron gets some love with a waterlogged sci-fi film... Spielberg gets love with two films on two lists... Indiana Jones makes an appearance... Mikey has to defend really crappy movies like Dune... a great romantic comedy with a Bill Withers tune... the difference in Diehard and Diehard 2... the great music from a Daniel Day-Lewis classic... Tarantino meets Uma... Mikey gives you a few movies you can't refuse...

And the guys spend not only ten minutes on a Bryan Adams 90s tune, but also a huge Celine Dion hit from the late 90s.

Plus... hear Mikey use the phrase "F me, he cleared it!" and Pinky say, "It's a great love story! And at the end, you get to see a boat sink!"

The numbers get smaller and the movies get bigger!
