Episode 324: A ReFlicktion Place

Like that horrifically awful Staind song said, "It's been a while...."  But never fear, Mikey, Dave and #Twitterless Doctor Earl are back in the podcasting saddle, this time with loads of ReFlicktions -- reviewing new and old movies seen in the last month or more.

After a quick look at April birthday movies, the guys dive right into ReFlicktions, going over a great new Star Wars documentary... Dave paying off his punishment for losing the Oscar pool... Bryan Brown talk... Dr Earl enjoying both a RomCom and Munchhausen by Proxy and getting Woke... Dave's latest Disaster Movies... Crushing on the Rock... much love for A Quiet Place... much non-love for A Wrinkle in Time... and lots of Burgess name dropping.

Plus, Dave & Mikey's newest Top Five of 2018, and Dr. Earl's first list.

Movies discussed:  Hurricane Heist... The Director & the Jedi... Searching for Sugarman... Skiptrace... Pacific Rim: Uprising (WAR READY)... F/X... Atomic Blonde... When We First Met... Blackway... Ready Player One... Mommy Dead & Dearest... Hostel II... Happy Anniversary... Black Panther... Geostorm... Rampage... A Quiet Place... A Ghost Story... Andre the Giant... Elvis: The Searcher... A Wrinkle in Time... The Florida Project... Arthur Miller: Writer... Blockers

Deucecast Classics: Episode 101

The guys are taking two weeks off because of... well, life.  But don't sweat it!  Here is a classic episode from The Deucecast Movie Show, released all the way back on June 8th, 2013.

The show had just transitioned from a variety show into a strictly movie show, and Episode 101 features Dr Earl (Before he got all of his titles)... Pinky, as he joins the show officially... Mikey and Dave as hosts... and even Producer Tommy and Producer Shawn!

Its the first real "ReFlicktions" show of the Deucecast Movie Show, covering films like the original "Jack Reacher"... "The Great Gatsby"... "Now You See Me"... and an extensive love fest for Fast & Furious 6.

And then a list of the guys favorite "disappointing summer blockbusters"!  Hope you enjoy this blast from the past, and we'll give you some new episodes in 2 weeks!

Episode 323: See This, Not That - The Avengers

Springtime has sprungtime, as The Deucecast Movie Show counts down the days until Avengers Infinity War, as Mikey and Dave welcomes in Friend of the Show, Wit Stillman Fan, Lover of Brie (Allison, Larsen & the Cheese), Terrance Malick Apologist, Film Historian and Nasal Surgeon, specializing in condom removals, the estimable Twitterless Dr Earl!

And as another special treat, calling in all the way from Tifton Albany Waycross Valdosta Bainswick, radio host and My Star Wars Story creator, Friend of the Show Scott Ryfun!

Dave and Ryfun connect over common friends in Brunswick, as well as The Void Experience in Disney Springs.  Mikey and Ryfun then bond over a great meeting back at Star Wars Celebration last year.

Then, to the main segment, an extended game of "See This / Not That", where the crew takes on the cast of The Avengers Infinity War.  One by one, Mikey, Dave, Ryfun and Dr Earl each give you the movie you should see and one to avoid with each of the Avengers, from Chris Evans to Robert Downey Jr to Zoe Saldana to ScarJo to Liz Olsen and everyone in between.

And we mention Steve Glosson many times over.
