Episode 432: Summer Movie Goals

The summer isn't quite here yet, but the weather is warming up, the sun is getting brighter, and in lieu of a Summer Movie Preview, the Deucecast crew has hashtag goals. It's the summer movie goals, by Mikey, Dave, and #TwitterlessDr Earl, each with their list of cinema focused tasks to accomplish between now and September.

First up, a round of Box Office Mojo, looking at the few movies that actually made money in 2020, then the guys list their goals.... catching up on a movie missed, or re-watching a classic, or watching a longer version of a movie seen before... chasing a director... chasing an actor... updating a movie list... and of course, the Nintendo Power Glove.

Episode 431: The That Guy, That Gal Draft

In what feels like Quarantine Episode 1003, the Deucecast Movie Show crew joins together via another Zoom meeting to discuss another draft... this time, not just the "Hey! It's That Guy!'s , but also the "Hey, its That Girl!'s as well." Mikey, Dave, and #TwitterlessDrEarl bring in the young, heavy hitter, Spawn of Ryfun, Every since he was a Lowercase G (But now he's a big G) from Southeast Georgia, Garrison.

After the drafts that saw each of the guys build their movie studio with actors, then actresses, then directors, it's time to fill the studio with the supporting casts.

To determine who goes first, a few rounds of Exhibition Denzel commences, before a real elimination style Denzel match ensues.

Among some of the draft picks, John Wick's butler... a Disney voice over legend... Ben Affleck's Gone sister... Friday Night Kyle... a few that can be argued shouldn't be there... and that CCH Pounder lady...

Plus the revelation that "Grand Daddy Daycare" exists.

Episode 429: On the Mark

In the new episode of The Deucecast Movie Show, the guys 'fess up about the things they are passionate about when it comes to movies. Mikey, Dave, and The Twitterless One, #TwitterlessDrEarl brings up those things in movies they "mark out for". From the Urban Dictionary: When you "mark out", you stand up for something or believe something completely.  Believing something completely.

And to help the guys mark out, they bring in a Friend of the Show who always marks out for The Deucecast, Miss Independent himself, Jeremy Burgess.

First up, a game of Rotten Tomatoes, checking out movies all about spring -- call out your score, whoever is closer (over or under) and get the point.

And then the crew looks at the directors, actors, genres, scenes, tropes and more they "mark out for", or "stan" for, or even as #TwitterlessDrEarl would say, "find groovy, the bees knees, the cat's pajamas"...  media movies... legendary logos... superstar deaths... and getting nekkid. Just listen. You'll get it.
