DCMS Ep 615: The NOT 2023 Top Ten

The review of 2023 films are in full swing, but first there is the annual look back at the movies seen last year that were NOT FROM last year. Its the Not 2023 Top Ten, where we highlight films worthy of a second discussion because they just impacted us so much.

Dave, Mikey, and #TwitterlessDrEarl welcome in Friend of the Show, streaming live from the booming metropolis somewhere in Bainbridge, Wyoming, that is one Jacob "Roth from Wyoming."

Together, the foursome discuss their top ten faves of the year from all over the place, as far back as the early 50s to all the way through the 60s and 70s and in the 00s -- The greatness of Chucky Heston before he told us "YOUR MOVE, IMPERATOR..." Rated R Hockey... hot Atlanta Olympic Bombing chatter... Martin McDonough gets lots of love... the mastery of Hitchcock (and the documentary you should see)... why Mel Gibson is so good at directing... why Tom Hanks doesn't direct much... and never go in the back of a fast food restaurant...

Episode 518: The Not 2021 Top Ten

As the review portion of 2021 continues, it's time to take a look at favorite films seen last year... but not FROM last year... nay, from years before!

After a few birthday movie shoutouts, Mikey and #TwitterlessDrEarl and Dave give their take on what they've seen recently that you should check out...  plus, Dave's problem with Woody Allen movies, and a new ScarJo quest.

Then, each give their top ten films seen in 2021 that are films from previous years. And unlike previous NOT Top Tens, this one spans the generations of movies... including Dr. Earl's total pretentiousness... Mikey's take on History Channel Spielberg and sheer hatred of Kate Hepburn... The Orsen Wells oeuvre
Judd Apatow vs Billy Wilder... and the story of the 20 something Aubrey-Matarin novels. Because you needed that.

Episode 449: Viva la Deucecast

An episode of the Deucecast Movie Show with a twinge of queso and salsa, Mike, Dave, and #TwitterlessDrEarl all take a look at some great films from South of the Border.

First up, a quick round of Rotten Tomatoes Potpourri, calling out the critics scores of classics like A Fistful of Dollars, and Weird Science and so on.

Then, the guys pick their fave films starring those in the Mexican community... a Hispanic cast... a plot revolving around Mexican scenery... anything that relates to our neighbors to the South!
