Episode 544: The Tournament of the Chris

As August approaches and #FanBoySummer begins to wind down (only a few weeks left!), Dave, and Mikey, and #TwitterlessDrEarl are thrilled to bring on super fan of the show and budding Deucecast archivist Nate, aka Aussie Nate.

Streaming in live from Brunswick, Iowa (just west of Queensland) Aussie Nate has put together a full Movie Role Tourney, one of utmost importance as the winner will advance to The Big Bracket (held in Episode 600 in September 2023).

First up, catching up with Aussie Nate, and why he chose this tournament -- that being the battle of the Chrises... Evans vs Hemworth vs Pine vs Pratt, with some extras  thrown in there for good measure, like Tucker, Farley, Elliot, and Kristofferson.

Buckle up.. this might get Chrizy... I mean, Crazy.

Episode 436: Down Under the Radar

Flying Under the Radar is a delicate balance of being unknown but also being awesome. The Deucecast Movie Show is just like that too, so there is experience here.

And to celebrate being Under the Radar, Mikey, Dave, and #TwitterlessDrEarl bring in their fellow movie phile, the movie watcha from down unda', Aussie Nate, for a great discussion about the corn stereotype in Iowa... the fires in Australia... and life for Friend of the Show Aussie Nate.

Then a rousing game of Denzel, aka, Playa to Playa, Pimp to Pimp, and finally, the topic of the day -- movies that fell under the radar... good films that no one talks about anymore or many people may have forgotten about completely.

Great hidden gems that were huge at the time and tossed asunder now -- Bolt! Money Talks! Jackie Brown! -- or maybe were never big at all before being asunder tossed -- Mean Machine? Thunder Road?

Episode 342: The Australian Episode

G'day mates!  It's another edition of The Deucecast Movie Show, this time with Mikey, Dave, and Pinky tossing more shrimp on the barbie, and their first Australian Fan, Listener Nathan.

Listener Nathan is koala'ing in not from Australia, but from somewhere more exotic - Iowa.

Kicking off the episode is Birthday movies ("Yor, the Hunter of the Future" is how old?), then a lowdown on Australian cinema from Listener Nathan.

How quickly do movies arrive there from the United States? Hot Australian Manatee talk from Mikey. An overview on Australian geography. Fave film genres from down under. Listener Nathan's trips to the Motherland.  Australian actors who should be huge in America.  Highwayman Jacko. Big TV shows from the area. And we know that Deucecast is Australian for "Podcast", but is Foster's really Australian for "beer"?

And then, a Top Five on Australian movies... from Hugh Jackman to Kangaroo Jack to Mad Max to ABBA songs to Quigley Down Under and everything in between.
