Then, it's time for MikeTober, as Garrison "The Pride of Albany" Ryfun and Miss Independent Jeremy Burgess join d$ and Dr Earl in offering movies for Mikey to see -- and possibly be crowned the 2024 MikeTober Champ!

Episode 552: The Franchise Role Tournament

Because we are on the downslope to Episode 600, and we've done 21 of these and need to do at least 11 more... its TOURNEY TIME.

Mikey, Dave, and #TwitterlessDrEarl are ready to put another movie role into the Big Bracket, to figure out what the greatest movie role of all time could be.  This episode, it's picking out the greatest roles from franchises.

The rules.... must be a character who appears in at least FOUR theatrical releases, no matter how brief, and can be played by the same or different actors.  Star Wars and Marvel are intentionally excluded, with one brief exception. And for the first time in any DCMS Tourney... Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings make their appearances.

To do such a big event, the Deucecast trio need help -- enter the Pride of Buford Georgia, Spawn of Ryfun himself, Lil G, and Friend of the Show Roth from Wyoming, picking up last minute invites to be a part of the madness.

Transformers go tet a tet... the wizarding world has a rumble, as does Middle Earth... action stars attempt to keep it in the family, while dynamic duos take on crime stopping wiseacres... will G's push for Ethan Hunt finally be successful?  What happens when two of Mikey's icons face off?  Is it fair to make #TwitterlessDrEarl decide a match from movies he's never seen?  Probably not, but here we go!

Episode 210: The 2016 Movie Preview (and Top 100 Review)

Two big segments on the show this week!  Mikey, Pinky & Dave have a host-filled episode with no one else in studio but Producer Tommy holding down the keyboard, monitor and brass section.  And of course, Producer Shawn, always on the Annex Couch, first to arrive and last to leave.  Thank you, Producer Shawn, for your hard work and dedication to the cause of Deucentertainment.

A little "Stay Seated // Walk Out" discussion brings us answers to the questions of "Will Quentin Tarantino actually retire after his 10th film?" and "Have we had enough of Brad & Jen?" and "Should JJ Abrams be bought for reviving a huge Marvel franchise?"

And what franchise could JJ take over that would save it from the depths of suck?

The summer movie preview takes a gander at upcoming big films and Mike, Pinky & Dave's takes on them...

Chats commence about Benedict Cumberbatch in "Dr. Strange"... "Neighbors 2" with Seth Rogen & Zac Efron... the obligation to see "Batman v  Superman: Dawn of Justice"... love for Emily Blunt in "Girl on the Train"... some Clooney film called "Money Monster"... prospects for the chick "Ghostbusters"... how Pinky HATES "Ghostbusters"... Tom Hanks latest Oscar grab... the most tongue-in-cheek Marvel film to date... Jennifer Lawrence and Hugh Jackman begin wrapping up their time in the X-Universe... the latest Da Vinci Code movie... Emma Stone & Ryan Gosling re-team... Pixar's "Finding Nemo"... Matt McConaughy in a Civil War drama... excitement for "Suicide Squad"... the mixed opinions on the new "Star Trek" films... Jeff Goldblum in "ID Resurgence"... hopes for Billy Zane in "Zoolander Eye Eye"... Disney's "Moana" & "Zootopia" and the Disney-like "Secret Life of Pets"...

Also, featuring a lengthy conversation on returning to the world of Harry Potter in "Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them".  Is JK Rowling doing too much?  What are the prospects for success?  Will it succeed or fail?

More thoughts on "Captain America Civil War", asking the heartbreaking question "...Captain America is fighting Iron Man?" and how massive this will be.

"Rogue One" and the label of "A Star Wars Story"... will it help?  And is Biggs Darklighter making a real appearance?

Then, the show shifts to a quick overview of the Top 100 so far... what movies will need to go in upon further review?  "Nightcrawler"?  "Thank You For Smoking"?  "Leap Year" with Amy Adams?
What movies might fall out of the lists?  Movies that are more about nostalgia like "Monty Python & the Holy Grail" or movies that are good for one viewing like "The Godfather" or movies that can just be bumped, like "Dogma".

And then movies that are too recent to count, but could easily find their way into the Top 100 lists, movies like "Mad Max Fury Road", or movies that need to move up the lists, like "Fargo".

Finally... Pinky gives the films that he thinks will make it into his new Top 100 list.  Its about 100 films long.  Stay tuned.

Episode XVI: Podcast Salvation

Check out Berean Christian Resource Center here online as well as their eBay store... we love these guys and hope they continue to do well...

Our 16th go-round at The Deucecast, and its a doozy... right off the bat, we jump into Harry Potter at midnight... Matt's love of being a father... d$'s excitement of being an upcoming dad... and how to ghetto rig the A/C on a ten year old POS Jetta... The Music Minute brings the great awesome lovely average sounds of The Broken Bells... thoughts on "Skyline"... thoughts on "Rango"... thoughts on "I Am Number Four"...

Matt's Potluck Smorgasbord opens up a great discussing on the value and awesomeness (and sometimes un-awesomeness) of movie trailers, including "The Dark Knight Rises"... "The Amazing Spiderman"... "Star Trek"... "Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith"... "Inception"... "The Matrix"... "Punisher"... "Cowboys and Aliens"... the films and trailers of M. Night Shymalan... and a spirited discussing on the value (re: crap) that is "Where the Wild Things Are"

We also discuss Marc Singer's possible comeback... a new Al Gore Movie from The Cartoon Network... a Boba Fett movie?... The Dark Tower books and collapse of the movie project... Kevin Costner and Mikey's big crush on him... the talent of Jon Favreau... Mark Wahlberg and how Nathan Fillion is better... the first The Deucecast mention of Lou Ferrigno...

The Big Three tackles our favorite TV characters of all time, including characters from LOST... Friday Night Lights... The Simpsons... The Wonder Years... Mikey's teen soap operas... X-Files... and more!  heh heh... heh heh... he said "more"...

Finally... another edition of America's Favorite Gangsta Rap Segment, "TONE LOC WATCH"...

And... Seagal Watch.

PLUS--Our PotterCast!  Download a separate 'cast for nothing but Harry Potter talk--the movies, the books, how great the final film was, and spoilers galore...
