DCMS Episode 600: The Big Bracket

Finally, after all the hubbub and chatter and stops and starts, Mikey, d$ and #XLessDr Earl have made it to the culmination of topics of 28 previous episodes... The Big Bracket.

From Episode 291 to Episode 599, 36 movie roles were chosen and now will face off one on one... a majority vote rules, as the crew goes through the match ups one at at time.

But what fun is a Movie Role Bracket if there aren't more Friends of the Show joining up?  And Friends of the Show join up... producing the show is Roth from Wyoming and stepping in is Lil G "Pride of Albany" Ryfun... then along the way comes (in order of appearance...) Lil Andy... Aussie Nate... Hurricane Rhett... "Amish" Jenn Novotny... Jenny Kaufman... Matty Mink... Uncle Brian... Coach DiBello... and of course, The Icon, Scotty "Ryfulicious" Ryfun...

It's absolutely the longest episode we've ever done, as we agreed early on there would be no Big Bracket in 601 -- the group powers through the entire show. New theme songs, familiar favorites, jokes fly, Garrison drives, Mikey has a delay, Earl changes his mind, d$ keeps it all moving.

Enjoy the show.

Episode 460: The Disney Plus Announcements

It's another week closer to Christmas, as the Deucecast crew -- Mikey, Dave, and #TwitterlessButNotDiscordDrEarl -- get ready for the big visit from Santa...

But first, out of nowhere, Disney dropped an almost four hour meeting on everyone last week called Disney Investor Day, and out of that came dozens of titles, series, movies, and projects upcoming in the next few years.  So who better to break it all down for you than these guys, plus Friend of the Show Upon a Star Jenn, direct from Amish Country.

Marvel shows and movies... Star Wars new series, spin-offs and films... Pixar's new projects and films coming up... Disney Animation's 59th and 60th films in Disney canon, plus their new animated series and projects...

Plus, chatting about The Mandalorian... the movie A Ghost Story... and all the other randomness that comes with nerddom.

Episode 428: Best of the Worst 2000s

In these uncertain times, it's important to embrace what you truly love -- bad movies. And leave it to Mikey, Dave, and #TwitterlessDrEarl to bring you the best. The Best of the Worst.
After doing the Best of the Worst films of the 2010s with Lil G Ryfun (Ep 377) and 1990s (Ep 389), it was time to do Best of the Worst films, as dictated by a Rotten Tomatoes score of 50% or less... and to get the perspective of the fairer kind, the Jennifers make a return... Jennifer Kaufman and Jennifer Novotny both join the show!

First up, to celebrate the release weekend anniversary of Avengers Infinity War and Endgame, an MCU themed version of IMDb, naming the movie roles of those in the MCU...

Then the trash that we love, movies that rank low on RT but high in our hearts, from Orlando Jones getting shoved up an alien's bum to Britney Spears hitting a cross road to a Star Wars mission road trip to #TwitterlessDrEarl surprising everyone with his Scooby Doo love.

Plus, what happened to Julia Robert's best role in the Julie Bracket... Doctor Aphra... love for Favreau... Va-poo-rizers... M Night's folly... Dim Sum... Richard Pryor's bad Toys... Robin Williams bad Toys... the J-Lo Triumverate..

Episode 392: The D23 Prediction Show

Not only are the Deucecast Movie Show hosts Mikey and Dave (and #TwitterlessDrEarl too!) huge movie fans... but also Disney fans too. And in a rare episode that is quite timely, the every-other-year huge Disney convention D23 happens this weekend.

So the show digs in to talk about the movies... and Disney +... and Star Wars... and Marvel... and the parks... and much much more. But to do so, they need to bring in a little help.  And one Friend of the Show Jennifer is just not good enough so for the first time, the DCMS orchestrates the Meeting of the Jennifers.

That's right!! Friend of the Show Jenn Novotny meets Friend of the Show Jenn Kaufman as both call in to discuss everything that needs to be discussed.

Predictions are made -- will there be new pavilions at Brazil?  Who's excited (and not) for Frozen II?  What Pixar films are coming and what do we know?

If you love Disney and Disney movies and frivolity, this special episode is amazing and magical.

Episode 385: Future Disney Films

Happy Fourth of July from everyone at The Deucecast, including Mikey, Dave and of course #TwitterlessDrEarl, and our extended Friends and Co-hosts Pinky, Producer Tommy and Producer Shawn! For this July 4th episode, the Deucecast crew does... well, nothing to celebrate. Instead, they talk Disney movies, and to do so, they call up Friend of the Show Jenn Novotny.

After a quick (!) round of The Denzel Game, they dive into Disney Future Films, from Artemis Fowl to live action Lady & the Tramp to the almost here Lion King to the way far off Avatar sequels.

Episode 378: Actors in Anything

The Road to 400 continues, ever closer that before, when the guys weren't as close to 400, but are closer now. That is Mikey and Dave, this time with an empty pretentious corner, as #TwitterlessDrEarl has gone off to perform neurosurgery on orphans somewhere in Wichita.

But on the Binder & Binder Hotline is none other than the Amish One herself, Friend of the Show Jenn Novotny, all the way from Pennsylvania to help us discuss our favorite actors we'll watch in anything.

After a quick chat about Disney topics, including the new Star Wars news and the Disney+ Streaming service, plus a plug for Jenn Boo, aka, Brady's new album coming soon.

Then the topic at hand, the actors that we'll watch in anything, no matter how good or bad the movie might be. Great chats on Scoot McNairy... Liam Neeson... Jason Segel... the awesome of Tom Hanks... Mikey's mancrush on Ben Foster... Dave's mancrush on The Rock... Novotny's mancrush on Benedict Cumberbatch, maybe.

Episode 339: Road Trip Movies

It's the best movie podcast you'll hear when you hear this movie podcast. The Deucecast Movie Show returns, with Mikey and Dave discussing their favorite Road Trip movies.  But when it comes to road trips, the more the merrier, so why not invite on the show's favorite Amish Child -- Jennifer Novotny of The Divas Dish Diz podcast!

Jenn joins the gang first for a round of Chronology -- one of the worst games the show has ever had, in all honestly... but it gets even better in the Top Five list, with great traveling films like Vacation and Midnight Run and Over the Top and, of course, Road Trip... plus a great quick discussion on John Cho's acting.

Episode 315: 90 Minutes Or Less

Deuce Team back again, check it to wreck it, let's begin!  For another movie filled episode of The Deucecast Movie Show, as Dave and Mikey welcome back Friend of the Show, Wit Stillman Fan, Lover of Brie (Allison, Larsen & the cheese), Terrence Malick Apologist, Film Historian, and Nobel Prize of Medicine Nominee for his work in toejam fungus, The Estimable Twitterless Dr. Earl.

And the guys also welcome back to the show our own Disney Diva, and co host of the Divas Dish Diz and Amish Paradiser Jennifer Novotny!

First up, a round of the IDMb Reverse game -- can you name the movie based on the actors from the list on the IMDb page?

Then, a quick Coco review, a round up of Disney vacations and Disney restaurants.

Then onto the topic... The best movies 90 minutes or less.  Some of the films come in just under the wire, like "Office Space" and "Stand By Me", others clear it by a lot, like "The Rescuers", "The King of Kong" and "Winnie the Pooh".

Episode 288: Favorite Disney Sidekicks

It's a magical time at The Deucecast Movie Show as Dave, Mikey and Pinky invite on the Binder & Binder Hotline the co-host of the Divas Dish Diz Podcast and travel extraordinaire Jennifer Novotny!
First up, predictions on what the gang hopes to hear from D23 Expo (this ep was recorded before the Expo announcements), plus some Disney/Universal contract chatter.

Birthday movies gives the 5th birthday of the greatest bicycle messenger movie ever, the 20th birthday of Air Bud and The Beastmaster birthday!

Gametime brings up a Disney edition of Rotten Tomatoes Potpourri

Then the sidekick talk kicks in, discussing the greatest assistants and right-hand men/women/kids/tangible objects of Disney Animation!  Genie!  Kronk!  Baloo!  And many more!
