DCMS Classic Episode 300

As Mikey, d$, and #XLessDrEarl get set for Episode 600, the Deucecast Movie Show is releasing a series of "milestone" episodes, including the first ReFlicktions ep (#130) last week, and this week, Episode 300.

Aside from the RetroZap Podcasting Network bumper being taken off the front, and the stinger added to the end, the episode itself is here in it's entirety, as it was released on October 25th, 2017.

Here are the original notes (and the original post):

After many years and many late nights, Mikey, Pinky and Dave ring in the 300th episode of The Deucecast Movie Show.  First, the guys say hello to Producer Shawn and Lady Pinky (and then bye, as they leave quickly), and invite in Friend of the Show Wit Stillman Fan, Film Historian, Terrance Malick Apologist, Brie Fan (Allison, Larsen & Cheese) and World Renowned Proctimologist Dr Earl...

And then, the Cavalcade of Stars begins!

Shazbazzar, co-host of the TechnoRetro Dads podcast, joins the crew with some of his favorite films, including the original animated Lord of the Rings film, WarGames and the dangerous, unaccountable teenagers from the 1980s.  Plus, the first ever mention of "Rock & Rule".

When Remodeling Clay finally gets on the line, the gang plays an old school game of "Reel or Unreel", aka, "Faux or Show".  Plus an update on Clay's favorite films and a few documentary recommendations that we all have to see.

The Retrozap dot com Podcasting Network Podfather Retro Joe then comes on to discuss some of his favorite films, including Army of Darkness, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, and Ghostbusters.  Plus a discussion on Patriots Day, which took place around Joe's neck of the woods.  And with Retro Joe, a great round of Box Office Mojo on "Third Films in a Series".

To wrap up the Cavalcade of Stars, Jennifer Kaufman brings up some of her favorites she's seen this year, with Spotlight, A Fish Called Wanda and more.

Pinky then riffs on an assigned film, "Audition", one of those "Most disturbing movies ever made!"  More crap on Superman III and then, a throwback to an early sponsor of the show, Real Men of Genius.

To you, the listener and film fan, thanks so much for downloading, listening, and being a fan!

Episode 300: The Cavalcade of Stars

Episode 283: The Century's Best Action Films Pt 2

Continuing the Top Ten Action Films of the 2000s, Dave, Mikey, and Pinky welcomes back in The PodFather of RetroZap.com Podcasting Network, Retro Joe!

First up, a round of Word Up! (up up) discussing Netflix original programming... the Baywatch flop for The Rock... and Rick Moranis coming out of retirement, sort of.

Plus, discussions on Pinky's hope for Shrunk 4... whether Edge of Tomorrow is action or sci-fi... when Jason Statham shows up... the action in Star Wars films... the different Batman in cinematic history... the real best Bond movie of 2015... Retro Joe changes his mind finally... and a round-up of RetroZap.com shows.

Episode 282: Premium Action (ft Retro Joe)

It's just the guys in the Deucecast Movie Show studios, with all producers out and Wit Stillman Fan, Terence Malick Fan, Brie Lover (Allison, Larson & cheese) and Film Historian Dr Earl on a Doctors With Only Some Borders mission, Mikey, Pinky & Dave decided to call up the RetroZap.com Podcasting Network guru and Podfather Retro Joe!

A little discussion about the RetroZap Network, then another round of See This, Not That, where Dave spins The Wheel of Movie Destiny (tm), giving you a great idea of what to see and what not to see with Star Trek films, guilty pleasures, and Eddie Murphy movies

Plus, Retro Joe's quick beef with Friend of the Show Scott Ryfun... and movie haircuts.  And more defense of Superman III from Pinky.  Plus, a special guest returns to the studio.

Then, part one of the Top Ten Best Action Films of the 2000s.  Anything that premiered at the box office from January 1, 2000, to last week, counts, as everyone gives their favorites from the last 17 years.

Flicks like Expendables, Jet Li gettin' kicky, Anthony Anderson being racist, controversy over the best bike messenger movie ever made, which Bond movies count in the canon, and where does Looper fit into all of it?

Ep 222: Whoever's in New England with Joe Tavano

Taking the podcast to a Southie Direction, Mikey, Dave and Pinky bring in fellow movie lover, geek and all around cool dude Joe Tavano, the founder of RetroZap Podcasting Network.

As the guys begin, a brand new game emerges... "NAME THAT SEAGAL".  Can you tell one Steven Seagal movie from another?  It's harder than you think...

Diving into Boston Films, movies set in and around the Boston area take center stage... classics like "The Town", "The Departed" and even "Celtic Pride"... okay, maybe not all three of those make it.  And Joe, being from the area, gives the down-low on several films like "Jaws", "Mystic River" and even "Fever Pitch".  Plus, the trend of mid-80's New England beach films that feature boats and regattas.

And what to expect when John Laroquette is atop your movie poster.

Bonus!  What song might be Boston' theme song? Well Dave has no idea, but that doesn't stop him from trying, does it?

And don't forget to check out some our favorite shows on RetroZapped.Com, like Skywalking Through Neverland, TechnoRetro Dads, Brews & Blasters and others!

Episode 207: Retro Reflicktions with Joe Tavano

Another year is in full swing for The Deucecast Movie Show, and there is so much to get to in the coming weeks... however... first up, the monthly ReFlicktions show! This is where Mikey, Pinky & Dave give a huge rundown of the movies seen in the last month.

And this time, the guys are joined by frequent guest, movie historian and Terrance Malick apologist The Good Dr Earl... and RetroZap founder Joe Tavano.

The Deucecast Movie Show has joined RetroZap Podcasting Network, and Joe is here not only to welcome the show (or perhaps the hosts have just invited themselves?) but to talk a little about RetroZap and how great it is.

Then the discussion moves into a new discussion on Star Wars The Force Awakens (no spoilers spoken!) the into main movie discussion, where Pinky sees the brilliance of Corey & Corey... the guys discuss the lost potential of The Ridiculous Six... the length of H8Ful Eight... what Mikey intends for bad, Dave finds to be great... cannibalism and Kurt Russell... Bryan Cranston's amazing performance in a pretty good movie... Christian Bale's amazing performance in a really good movie... and Tom Hardy's upstaging of Leo DiCaprio by giving an amazing performance in an amazing movie.
