Episode 528: Yippe Ki Yay Bruce Willis

Here at the Deucecast, we always remember our favorite actors and actresses, and when they step away, we give them props.

So when the family of Bruce Willis announced that Bruno himself would be retiring due to health issues, the Deucecast wanted to give our proper nod.

Hence, our Bruce Willis themed episode! Mikey and Dave are joined by Lil G Ryfun from Valdosta, GA, as the trio counts down their own favorite Bruce films.  Plus, lots of great discussions on the career and overall body of work.

Stick around for the extended stinger, as the show gets a drop-in by a former and future guest of the show, who only stops by to kick himself off of the show later.

Episode 280: Mt Rushmore of Funny Ladies

It's June and its summertime!  Dave, Mikey and Pinky are the only hosts in this episode, where the guys give their fave funny girls of cinema.

Deucecast Trivia:  What movie was the first film the Deuce guys ever watched at the (then) new Rave Motion Picture Cinema, which changed the game for theatergoers?  Find out in Birthday Movies, and how 1982's June was an amazing month of film.

Some Rotten Tomato Potpourri happens, with guessing some scores of female led comedies like Bridesmaids... Our Brand is Crisis... The Proposal and more! Plus Dave's love of... The House Bunny (!!!)

Then, a celebration of the funny ladies, as the guys put their Mt Rushmore together featuring the most talented and hilarious women in film.

Plus a quick look at upcoming episodes!

Episode 250: The Mount Rushmore of That Guys

After putting the top actors and actresses atop a Mount Rushmore, it's time for Dave, Mikey & Pinky to look at those "Hey, I've seen that guy before, he was in... oh, what was he in, I see him in everything... dang it, what's his name?", aka, THAT GUYS.

First up, though, an acknowledgment of the 250th episode of The Deucecast Movie Show... nothing fancy, no big party, but a fun, quick throwback to The Deucecast Episode 91: Dpodcast Unchained to Pinky's first appearance

Then a celebration of former and current That Guys, who should be honored because of the background work they do.  Names like Brenden Gleeson... JT Walsh... Scoot McNairy... Tom Wilkinson... Joe Pantoliano... Will Patton... William Fichtner... Stanley Tucci... Sam Rockwell... Kevin Pollak... maybe you don't know the name, but you'll know the face!

And a quick look at what's to come in the next several The Deucecast Movie Show eps!

Episode 241: The Mt Rushmore of Directors

After the actors and actresses that have been placed on each personal Mt Rushmore as All Time Favorites (see Episode 219 for Actors and Episode 227 for Actresses), its only fitting that Directors get their due.  And of course, what better way to do it than to bring in Terrance Malick Apologist and Film Historian the Honorable Former Deacon Dr Earl.

Up first, a fast paced edition of Denzel, with someone forgetting the names of the Hobbit movies, someone else forgetting the arthouse award winning film Alicia Vikander was in, and what exactly was the name of the guy who played Freddy Kruger??

Then over to picking the all time best directors ever, based on love of movies, love of directing style, based on the films in the host's favorite movies and Top 100 films of all time...  you'll hear various stories of why certain films are liked and disliked, and who barely made the cut.

Names like Spielberg!  Russell!  Tarantino! Altman! Whit Stillman... wait, who?  And where does Dr Earl place Malick upon Rushmore... or does he place him at all....??

Plus, a close look at the career of director Andy Tennant, director of "It Takes Two" with Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen.

Episode 227: The Mount Rushmore of Actresses

Mikey, Dave and Pinky return for another rousing rendition of the best movie podcast you'll listen to when you are listening to this one!  In episode 219, the podcast guys gave you their choices of favorite actors of all time.

But first and foremost, the Rotten  Tomatoes game, featuring movies with some of the most often talked about ingenues of the cinematic cinema.... and that includes Kristen Stewart and a rare appearance by the Coyote Ugly Girl herself!

And then, it's the Mount Rushmore of Actresses.   The favorites of the group, both in talent, in beauty, in roles and in awesome.

So listen up, and make your own list... who would be in your Mount Rushmore of Actresses?
