Episode LXXIII: The Pod & The Furious: Maylene Drift

Listen to our new episode and hear Hurricane Rhett yell about people.

No, seriously.

We kick off our new show with another segment from our sponsors, then a tasting of our latest beverage, the atrocity known as Celsius. It is loaded with interestingness.

Mikey tells us all about his adventure at Bark at the Park, and how easy it might be for all you single dudes to get yourself a woman.  And his disappointment with Star Wars Reads Day. And we talk about Liam Neeson.  And Taken 2.  And Facebook.  And Armie Hammer in "The Lone Ranger".  And Armie Hammer as Batman in "The Justice League Movie".  And a new Mary Jane?

We also touch on Hulk Hogan's unfortunate video discovery... Star Wars news abounds, with some Angry Birds... some Disney news and the Annual Passholder preview for New Fantasyland... movies like Get the Gringo... Soapdish... Rio... and Nancy McKeon !!

Did you know that Dionne from "Clueless" is voting for Romney!?

Mikey's crap music brings us some old school The Psychedelic Furs, and we go mano-a-mano in The IMDb Game, featuring Sandra Bullock... Bill Paxton... Steve Buscemi... and even more!

And speaking of crap, the worst movies ever?  That's right... the worst movies ever!  Its our list of the crappiest movies we've ever seen, and it includes Chevy Chase movies... John Candy movies... a Matthew Broderick movie... Terrence Malick movies... and breaking up with Ashley Judd with "Bug ".  Terrible.

And... Demi Lovato coins a new phrase!

Episode LXXII: Too Pod, Too Furious

Back in the groove after a week off, a brief hiatus, the boys are back in town... Shawn "DJ Phrenzy" Sharp joins us tonight with Tommy Mac on the keyboard producing, and we kick off with our last two weeks worth of life and living...

The Middle Eastern Festival and the Greek Festival were attended by us, and discussed here, plus d$'s love of grape leaves... baby talk and poopy talk as well... one of our sponsors gets a little edgy with their commercials... trailers for upcoming films like The Lone Ranger... a new Spiderman coming up... Fargo in a TV Show?... and Seth MacFarlane hosting the Oscars.

We watched a ton of films like Dredd... The Master... Looper... Mansome... The Five-Year Engagement... A Thousand Words... John Carter... a great documentary on athletes blowing hundreds of millions of dollars in Broke... and of course, some animated flick about birds.

A session of Reel or Unreel follows Mike's 80s Themed Music Minute and a new Buried Treasure with Steve Martin, and precedes The Big Three, our favorite death scenes--Samuel L. Jackson loses to a shark... some chick loses to a bus in The Marine... a dude loses to cockroaches in Creepshow... bad guys lose to God in Raiders of the Lost Ark... and even more death and destruction!

And next week... The Deucecast LXXIII: Too Pod, Too Furious: Maylene Drift!  Join us next Wednesday for our live taping!

Episode LXX: The Deucecast Saga, Breaking Wind

Its a host filled episode tonight with Mikey and d$ taking the reins on their own!

We kick it off with a great beverage tasting for once, as d$ pulls through with awesome tastes, to counteract Mikey's slurm that he tends to come up with via Big Lots.  Then we kick into a movie-heavy discussion with thoughts on movies like "Rio"... "Lawless"... a distaste for Shia Labeouf... "Heathers "... "Killer Elite "... "Billy Madison "... and even more.   And Mikey then presents some crappy music, followed by, for a change, some great music in the form of Will Claytor, the former lead singer of the Dove Award winning (and BET Vibe Award nominated) group Soul Pilot... we also relive Mikey's days as the lead publicist and manager of the band, and his term as the president of the Soul Pilot fan club, The Soul Stewardesses.

Our Big Three takes on television, giving our most anticipated new fall TV shows coming up... Mikey has the advantage as he watches a ton of TV, while d$ has worthwhile things to do with his time.  We touch on promising shows like "Revolution" and "Nashville" and "Arrow" and even more.

mikey discusses, at length, a show that he wildly excited about... Malibu Country...

We also discuss the heart attack of Jerry "The King" Lawler and the release of the iPhone 5... plus, d$ regales his tales of his beach vacation to Orange Beach and all the sand and food that went with it.  Plus, a new game centered around Rotten Tomatoes... can you guess what the critics think about certain movies?

And lest we forget... the Demi Lovato Tweet of the Week!!

Next week, we feature the Good Doctor Earl making his reappearance to the show, with another episode of Dyin' with Dr. Earl... Mikey will be teasing a special announcement that will come later this month... d$ might return with a Buried Treasure... we'll be digging up a great game from the past... and The Big Three is Our Favorite Independant Films of Ever All Time Ever.

That's on The Deucecast Episode LXXI: The Pod & the Furious

Episode LXIX: The Deucecast Saga: Podclipse

Welcome back... Hurricane Rhett!  We bring him in from time to time just to improve ratings, so hopefully it works!

We kick off the show as usual, with some Old Towne Chocolate Fudge Soda and some Old Towne Black Cherry Creme Soda... and its just as bad as you think it would be.

Michael Clarke Duncan, 1957 - 2012.  We salute you, John Coffey--like
the drink, only spelled different.  Rest in Peace.
Our week in awesome comes up, as we discuss topics like the NFL season... new college football rules... Hurricane Rhett's old dog's fate... Mikey's current dog's future fate... George Lucas's career and his housing... what happens if you live in a George Lucas owned apartment... the delay of Avatar at Disney World... why Star Wars would be a better fit... why Star Wars will be remembered longer than Harry Potter... Jim Carrey's new villain role... Mel Gibson's new villain role... Eddie Murphy's new TV role... the upcoming Paul Rudd/Leslie Mann movie "This is 40"... another John Williams discussion (Mikey thinks he is a no-talent hack) and of course, Demi Lovato...

We remember the career of Michael Clarke Duncan... Mikey brings some bearable Music Minute Music featuring Gary Clark Jr ... d$ busts out some classic Buried Treasure in the form of S Club 7 ... and we take on The Ryan Phillippe Game, with Reese Witherspoon!

The Big Three takes on our favorite FOURTH films in a series... including the Pirates series... Mission: Impossible series... Star Trek ... Harry Potter ... Lethal Weapon ... and strangely enough, no Star Wars... wait, what?

And a spirited discussion on the future of Superman and a love of the old Christopher Reeve character.

Next week... more music!  more TV!   more Pop Culture!  more guests!  more Big Three!  more Star Wars!  The Deucecast Episode LXX: The Deucecast Saga: Breaking Wind.
