Episode 326: Weddings in Movies

Another edition of The Deucecast Movie Show walks down the podcasting aisle, with Mikey and Dave inviting in The Long Intro-less, Twitterless Dr Earl.  Because Producer Shawn finally got hitched recently, the crew thought it would be fun to talk weddings in movies, both full films and scenes too.

What better way to do that than to invite in the Delightful Jennifer Kaufman, courtesy of the Binder & Binder hotline.

And what better way to talk about wedding movies than to talk about... Kaufman's former podcast The Delightful Life, local soccer teams, soccer rules, hockey rules and more, including a quick debate on the pros & cons of the hockey shootout.

A new game premieres this episode, a game called "Bridget, Michelle or Kate"... who was in the movies called out?

Moving onto weddings, Dave, Kaufman and Mikey share their quick wedding stories (while Twitterless Dr Earl takes a nap), then onto the Top Five Movie Weddings.  From The Muppets Take Manhattan to Bridesmaids to Spaceballs to My Best Friends Wedding and more, the DCMS celebrates movie nuptials and more.

And Kaufman hates The Princess Bride.  Still.

Episode 223: Deucecast Origins

(Show art co-art'ed by Remodeling Clay Shaver)

This episode is like a four fingered hand... the Pinky is missing.  Out doing something with his fake girlfriend on a fake date, filming a fake short film. Or something.
Tonight, it's Dave and Mikey on a very special episode.  If this were an 80's sitcom, a "Very Special Episode" would mean that Dave was dealing with an eating disorder or Mikey was playing inside of a fridge and got locked in... but for The Deucecast Movie Show, it's the short-awaited "origins episode."

Where did the name "Deucecast" come from?  How did Mikey and Dave meet each other?  Where does Pinky come in?  Who is Tommy?  Is Shawn real?

Dave and Mikey pull back the curtain to talk about what happened to lead to the most popular movie podcast with the name "Deucecast" in the title.

Plus, a Q&A session, answering inquires from Facebook and email and Twitter, like the hosts' first theatrical films, thoughts on the new release boxes at home, forgotten TV shows into films and more.
Also, listing some fans' own lists of their Top 10 films of all time.  And finally, an in-depth look at a Top 100 list and how to put it together.

And of course, a name drop of the band Tantric. Because of course Tantric.

Make sure you visit our friends of the show's websites, like Craig Harmann, the worship leader...

Episode 170: Our Favorite Movie Couples

The guys are back and better than ever, as not only is Producer Shawn up in the studio with d$, Pinky, Mikey and Producer Tommy, but the aesthetics got a whole lot brighter... friend of the show Nikki B stops by the pitch in and help with show!

First, find out where Mikey's been and why his month has been so, so crazy... then in Movie Birthdays, it's hard to believe that Crimson Tide is 20 years old... then, in the Ryan Phillippe Game, Pinky throws some curve balls with actors like Hugo Weaving & Ben Kingsley and who is the one playing the game dumb enough to forget ALL the subtitles of ALL the Hobbit films?  Find out.

And Nikki brings the chick flick touch to the Top Five, as the gang discusses their Top Five Favorite Movie Couples... everyone from Robin & Marian (no, not that one, but that one)... Jack & Karen... Sam & Molly Wheat... Vincent & Mia... and more, with romance from films like Titanic to The Notebook to... The Waterboy?

Oh, and Nikki finds out which Pride & Prejudice she should be watching.  And it's not the one with Keira Knightley.

Everyone's favorite vintage movie segment, Pretty in Pink, returns as Pinky discusses a John Cusack classic, and gets assigned another classic next up.

All in all, the love is strong and the cuteness is nigh on this edition of The Deucecast Movie Show!

And THURSDAY... join The Deucecast Movie Show for a special BONUS episode, a spoiler filled episode all about Avengers: Age of Ultron, with special guests Nikki B and our film historian and Terence Malick apologist, Dr Earl!
