Episode XXVI: Dr. Earl & the Half Blood Podcast

We are back to our regularly scheduled programming! The Deucecast Episode XXVI: Dr. Earl & the Half Blood Podcast kicks off with Matt dealing with the loss of a beloved pet and a beloved appliance, though we don't question which hit him harder. Mikey admits his love for the new TV show "H8R", for the Emmy Awards and the EmmyTones, while Dave just goes off on Glee. Dr. Earl chimes in and we end up discussing The Sing-Off, thought don't ask us why.

Oh, and The X-Factor sucks.

We take a few phone calls for Dr. Earl in his medical segment, and he answers those calls, plus a few other in-studio medical dilemmas, while we dive into nostalgia on The Big Three with our favorite TV Cartoon Theme Songs... classics like Pinky & the Brain... TMNT... The Jetsons... Battle of the Planets... Fat Albert and more.

Our Roundtable discussion hits all over the map, as we have two weeks worth of random crap to catch up... Disney and Avatar join forces... thoughts on new TV shows like Terra Nova, old shows like The Office, and rumored shows like The Hannibal Lecter Happy Hour... CDs vs Vinyl... The Muppets and the new trailers... our first ever Simba Watch... thoughts on the new Seth Rogen/Joseph Gordon-Levitt movie "50/50"... Mikey's fascination with all things Dragon Tattoo... Nic Cage's immortality... Gary Busey's new reality show... and finally...

Seagal Watch, denied a corner by Jon Jones. Don't ask.

Episode XXV: That Star Wars Episode

STAR WARS STAR WARS STAR WARS STAR WARS STAR WARS STAR WARS

Its all Star Wars this time around, as on The Deucecast Episode XXV becomes a Star Wars Centric show! We talk about what we loved, what we liked, what we hold dear and what... well, what we didn't like. The Blu-Rays were released this past weekend, so we go indepth in Star Wars lore, what George did right, what he did wrong, and what he did that, frankly, we didn't even know he had done.

What are your favorite scenes from the movies? Is it Qui Gonn vs. Darth Maul, which is one of Matt's? Or the opening battle sequence in Revenge of the Sith, like Mikey? Or maybe the Yoda vs. Dooku fight in Attack of the Clones? And what does Rhett think of Yoda and Dooku? Not much, apparently. Find out why...

We dive into a little Weird Al, some Star Wars gangsta wrap, and even some old Saturday Night Live material with Nick Lava and his Star Wars lounge act. What are some of your favorite Star Wars experiences? Watching the movies with your kids? Standing in line for hours for tickets? A Star Wars Convention? Or the Christmas of 1983? And somehow, Dave Coulier makes it onto the podcast... we're not sure what happened there, to be honest.

And we dive into a little Star Wars Trivia, with some of the easiest questions you can possibly imagine... and somehow Mikey still stumbles.

That's all on The Deucecast Episode XXV: That Star Wars Episode...

Join us next week as we recap two weeks worth of news and pop culture, including Avatar and Disney, Nic Cage surviving as a vampire, more Busey than you can handle, more Music, more Movies, More Smorg and the return of the Good Doctor, on The Deucecast Episode XXVI: Dr. Earl & the Half-Blood Podcast.

Episode XXIV: Tommy McLeod & the Podcast of the Phoenix

Another episode, another night of fun, frivolity, movies, music, Mer-Der and Seagal!

We dive Deuce-first into the 24th episode of our show, with Mikey displaying his love of Sarah Michelle Geller, his dis-love for no air conditioning and his wonder at his baby's fighting skills. Matt takes over and discusses the cat's electronic accidents, a "Thor" second viewing and "Running Wilde". And d$ steps in and gives his thoughts on the Opp, AL, Best Western hotel and his weekend with family.

Mikey presents the Potluck Sportasbord, with Cowboy coverage, d$ throws out a beloved classic as Buried Treasure (92% yo!) and Matt's Music covering the music of "Sons of Anarchy".

The Big Three was a great discussion on 9/11 Patriotism, mostly centered around movies where an American Hero--John Rambo, Indiana Jones, President Mitchell--kicks the butt of a some stupid foreigner.  Where else would you hear d$'s two bad Russian impressions in a row? "Pay de mahn eez mahney..." and "you are so beddy beddy good and we are so beddy beddy bad..." in the show.

Other discussions take on the upcoming Star Wars Blu-Ray release... Steven Spielberg's gun issues in "E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial"... The delight of the Star Wars Christmas Special... Chuck Norris joining "The Expendables 2" cast... Grey's Anatomy watch and a lengthy discussion that follows... thoughts on "Zookeeper" and "Winnie the Pooh"...

And of course... Seagal Watch... PLUS a bonus Nic Cage story at the last minute!

Next week... Hurricane Rhett joins us for a Star Wars centric-show (though there will be more than The Force to discuss)... that's next week on The Deucecast Episode XXV:  Hurricane Rhett & the Half-Blood Podcast!

Episode XXIII: Shawny Sharp & the Podcast of Fire

Welcome back to The Deucecast... Episode XXIII: Shawny Sharp & the Podcast of Fire! It was a crazy week for Matty, Mikey and d$ as we kick off the show talking about that very thing... well, after our Minnie Driver discussion. Anyway, Mikey deals with child care, goes face first into The Beard Off 2011, and tells of his involvement in about 284 football related leagues. Matty goes off on everything from steak dinners to "Salt" to Kirk vs Picard to new games. And d$ opens up a little on the death of his mom and the family dynamic he's grown up with.

The Music Minute pays a special tribute to the favorite music of d$'s mom... Matt expresses his annoyance with bad video game habits... and Mikey pulls out a Buckingham Nicks classic on The Buried Treasure.

The Big Three reviews the hosts favorite movies of the summer, movies like "Super 8" and "Captain America: The First Avenger" and "The Help"... and why "Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Part 2" has lost some luster for one of our hosts. More movie talk leads to a Netflix vs. Starz conversation... Mikey's ability to love Ryan Gosling and his foreign film festival... and why do you go see movies? For the stars or for the premise?

And we also hit on more Star Wars news, both books and deleted scenes, and the dangers of diving into the Expanded Universe... awesome stars in The Expendables 2... d$ watches "Pirahna" just for the halibut... Eddie Murphy taking on The Oscars... Celine Dion's house troubles...

And of course... Seagal Watch.

Episode XXII: Davy Dollar & The Prisoner of Podcastkaban

Finally... we got to Episode Twenty the Second. What's so special about XXII? Nothing. And everything. Because we are The Deucecast and we freakin' rule.
d$ was Curious. Mikey was Uninhibited. Matty is Vivacious. Tommy
is Unavailable. Which one are you?
We open up a can of refreshing Me Sparkling Beverages, and then kick off the show with our weeks, including Matty's power issues, not just with the breaker, but with Conan... Mikey's weekend at the Sidewalk Film Festival, and his love of Chazz Bono... and d$'s dinner at Po' Folks, and a viewing of not one, but both parts of "Paradise Lost". Oh, and lots of talk about "Ace Ventura, Jr". We also venture on the horror that is "Battlefield Earth"... the joy of Christian Slater... our support of Demi Lovato... Josh Brolin... Spike Lee... a surprising Grey's Anatomy Watch... Matt Fox's respect of women... George Lucas' tinkering with his masterpieces...
...and an interesting discussion on Civil Rights when we openly discuss "The Help".
The Music Minute busts out some Great Book of John... the Smorgasbord gives us Matty's five most anticipated games released this fall... and d$ digs up a Jet Li/Aaliyah classic, which spurs a good discussion on the talents of Anthony Anderson... Some you win. Dim sum... you lose.
We have a rousing game of Faux or Shaux, with the reemergance of Deuce Fave Greg Evigan... plus, The Big Three topic is our favorite artists of all time... Pre-Skanky Mariah! Bono! Sting! Zak Wylde! Rock! Country! And the melodies of Kevin Max, Tait and Toh-Bee Mack!

Plus... Seagal Watch.
