Episode 549: The Extended Editions

Still Beautiful. Still Gorgeous. Still Malick.

As Labor Day passes, so goes, for all intents and purposes, the #FanBoySummer which comes to a close with one final guest, one final top five as provided by those in the Discord.

Mikey, d$, and #TwitterlessDrEarl welcome back The Pride of Tifton Georgia, the Spawn of Ryfun, Lil G, Garrison to the show, and he brings to the table an extended alternate topic... that being Extended Editions and Directors Cuts of our Fave Films.

Several opinions come up on the Justice League and Zack Snyder's famed edition... the slapstick of Superman and the alternate cut... Mikey cheating... Garrison channeling Sergio Leone... watching films in TV series form... Terrence Malick stuff... Mikey's Star Trek convention discoveries... watching The Tuxedo... Peter Jackson's directors edition of the Lord of the Rings... aliens of the Abyss... and a movie that lasts over five hours...

Plus, d$ plays off DaveSplosion 2022!

Episode 499: The One Before

Well, here we are, one week out from the biggest episode we've had since the last big episode we had. It's the Deucecast Movie Show and before we get to 500, we have to do 499.  And in the spirit of the One Before, Dave, Mikey, and #TwitterlessDrEarl are celebrating ones before... or more specifically, movies that have a story before the story that you've already seen...

Prequels.

No, not THOSE Prequels... well, not just those Prequels. These are the origin stories, the lead ups, the ones that show us how the big movies got their own stories to tell. How Bumblebee met an unassuming Hailee Steinfeld and how Professor X ended up in the wheelchair and how Silent Bob met Jay and why is Indy 2 set before Indy 1? These are the questions that get answered!

Plus, a new IMDb game, this one all about the Top Four... and paying off the summer, finally, the 2021 edition of DAVESPLOSION!

Finally, all the news you need to know about the next episode, coming Friday, 8p Eastern, 5p Pacific... The Deucecast Movie Show Episode 500.

Episode 442: Best of the Worst 1970s

First up, Dave, Mikey, and #TwitterlessDrEarl invite in the legend, the famous, the infamous, award winning Voice of Cobb County, Scotty Ryfun!  They play a spirited round of Denzel, then turn their attention to the Top Five at Hand.
