Episode 453: Halloween Guilty Pleasures

Happy Halloween to all the movie lovers and scaryphiles out there from The Deucecast Crew!  Mikey, Dave, and #TwitterlessDrEarl serve up their favorite Halloween Guilty Pleasures.  The movies that... well, at least for Mikey and Dave... are not really scary, are sort of hokey, maybe kinda stupid, but oh so much fun anyway.

And of course, in the pretentious corner, #TwitterlessButNotDiscordlessDrEarl can't bring himself to talk about guilty pleasures, so somehow, his movies are actually good.

First up, Mikey gives a quick review of Liam Neeson's new flick "Honest Thief", then Dave laments the loss of a small college town theater.

Then a new game called SUBTITLES, guessing the terrible franchises that the even more terrible sequels are named, followed by the aforementioned the Guilty Pleasures list, and then, the 7th iteration of MikeTober, where Mikey has watched and gives reviews on horror flicks assigned by Lil G (some Korean joint) and #TwitterlessButNotDiscordlessDrEarl (some 70s joint) and Burgess (some 90s joint) and Scott Ryfun (some Roadkill joint) and a masterpiece of old cinema assigned by Dave.

Episode 450: Breakthroughs and Breakouts

The Deucecast guys round the corner and are less than a year's worth of episodes to the big 500... coming next September!  But until then, Mikey, Dave, and #TwitterlessDrEarl have to give the world the four hundred and fiftieth episode!

Joining the show at the top is Miss Independent himself, Jeremy Burgess, to give the update first on "Jasper Mall", the 2020 documentary that is the favorite to win Best Doc at the 2021 Deucie Awards... then an update on fundraising for the new movie "Don't Die".

Then a new game, "You Never Forget Your First" with a look at the first roles of many of the biggest stars in Hollywood, plus Eric Roberts.

Then, the Top Five Best Breakthroughs in Film, including Earl's pretention... Burgess picking some new blood... an old flame for Mikey... a controversial pick from d$... and a riff on how popular "American Flyers" actually was. No, we know, you have never heard of it either.

And finally, the movie selection for the annual MikeTober Horror Movie Revue!
