Episode 406: DeuceGiving 2019

It's hard to believe the year is almost over!  And you can tell how fast time flies because it's time for the annual DeuceGiving episode!  Mikey and Dave celebrate Thanksgiving by listing the things in movies and Hollywood they are thankful for.

First up, they play a little game of Ryan Phillippe, using an Actor Randomizer to find who gets the play...

Then, the thanks... So many streaming services... the ending of legendary roles... a (silent) return to excellence.. movies that are good... and so much more.

And of course, the Deucecast Movie Show says THANK YOU to the fans, the listeners, and anyone who has ever acknowledged that the show exists.

Episode 405: The Actor Draft

In this last regular episode of the year, before next week's DeuceGiving and the Christmas season gets going, Mikey, Dave and #TwitterlessDrEarl set up a fictitious movie studio in the vein of classic movie studios that would sign actors to mega deals. Thus our first of many Draft Episodes kick off.

...But first, birthday movies! Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 turns 5... The Blind Side turns 10... National Treasure is 15... Dogma is 20... and Supergirl with Helen Slater is... 35??

And what better way to play a game called Chronology than to invite in the Spawn of the Pride of Albany Georgia, young Garrison Ryfun!  Lil G helps put the movies in order along with a whining Mikey and a brilliant #TwitterlessDrEarl.

Finally... pretend a movie studio has come to each of the crew and given an unlimited budget to sign FIVE actors to an exclusive deal.  The guys begin the draft and pick their choices one by one to be in their studios... who gets picked?  Who gets left on the table?

And finally... everyone knows ABBA follows Kenny... but for the first time, the question that everyone has been asking is answered... what follows ABBA...?

Episode 404: Favorite Military Battle Scenes

It's a few days past Veteran's Day but it's always a good time to salute the men and women in the armed forces! So first, the Deucecast crew says "Thank you for EVERYTHING you do for our freedom!"  Without the freedom, this podcast wouldn't continually be able to churn out movie mediocrity every single week!

First up, the guys play a little war movie themed version of Rotten Tomatoes with everything from Pearl Harbor to Dunkirk son to We Were Soldiers and much more.

Then, Mikey, Dave and #TwitterlessDrEarl list their favorite movie scenes featuring military battles... none of that Lord of the Rings Pelinor Fields mumbo jumbo... just straight up Armed Services, Yankees, and even the British Military.
